This year, we're continuing our commitment to academic integrity and quality. As part of this effort, we’d like to introduce you to Identific — our trusted platform for plagiarism and AI-generated content detection.
What is
Identific?
Identific is a cutting-edge tool designed to help maintain fairness and
originality in academic work. It checks for:
· Plagiarism by comparing submissions against a vast database of online and academic content.
· AI-generated content, offering insights into whether portions of a text may have been produced using artificial intelligence.
By using Identific, we aim to support students in developing authentic writing skills and ensure that academic standards are upheld across all departments.
Starting this academic year, all students are required to upload their assignments to Moodle for a mandatory self-check using Identific before submitting their final version.
Here’s how it works:
1. Log into Moodle and locate your course
2. Find Identific block in entire course
3. Sign the draft with your name
4. Upload your draft and review the originality and AI content report
5. Make any necessary revisions before submitting your final version
The lecturer of the relevant course will also have access to your work. In the near future, we plan to integrate the Identific platform into every course and make it available to every student.
This process empowers you to take ownership of your work and to ensure it meets the standards of academic integrity from the start.
