Dear students, lecturers, and employees of educational institutions!
We would like to invite you to participate in an important study aimed at identifying and understanding the experience of sexual harassment in Latvian higher education institutions. This survey is being conducted by the Ombudsman of the Republic of Latvia in collaboration with researchers from Berg Research and the Latvian Students' Association, covering all Latvian higher education institutions.
We believe that each one of you has an important role to play in creating a safe and respectful learning environment where the rights and dignity of every individual are respected. This survey gives you the opportunity to share your experiences and opinions so that together we can create a better and safer academic environment for all. Your involvement will help to develop more effective rules of conduct and reporting mechanisms, as well as to strengthen support systems for those who may have been victims of sexual harassment.
The research survey will include questions on how you define sexual harassment, its prevalence, and its impact on your academic life. The questionnaire is available in both English and Latvian and will take approximately 5 to 15 minutes to complete. We guarantee the anonymity of the participants, the confidentiality of the answers, and the data will be analysed only in aggregate form.
